Absolutely no argument from me on that! In fact, as I wrote a few times, all the calls for changing tax laws seem to me to be people clamoring for something that will make other people pay more taxes, without their own taxes going up.

Tax the billionaires! 'Cause I'm not one.

Get rid of the mortgage interest deduction! 'Cause I don't have a mortgage.

Reduce the exemption levels on estate taxes! 'Cause my estate won't be hit by cutting them in half.

Etc. etc. etc.

Not that I think our tax law can't be improved. I just give more credence to people calling for specific changes when those changes *increase their own taxes* (like Warren Buffet saying billionaires should pay higher taxes).
