Actually, I did mention it in a couple of places. I said that some annuities have riders that increase payments to offset inflation, but they typically do it at a fixed annual percentage regardless of how much the CPI changes.

Also, I noted that even such a rider doesn't match the full CPI-based annual adjustments in Social Security benefits.
