Actually, the Palestinian = Philistine claim has been debunked. Genetic evidence ties the local Arabs to two sources, what is today Saudi Arabia and Canaanites.
However, note that I didn't say they all came from elsewhere (well, technically we all came out of Africa but that's not the point here). I said that they never had a state there. The Jews did.
Much more to the point though is that who has the better historic claim to the land (which I hold is clearly the Jews and I'm sure you side with the Palestinians), is a moot point. The real question is this - given that:
- There are over 7 million Jews and over 7 million Palestinians living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea
- Neither People will willingly leave
- Ethnic cleansing (which has never been Israel's policy but has most certainly been the Palestinian policy) is not an acceptable solution
- Genocide (which the 'woke Left Progressives' falsely accuse Israel of carrying out despite the clear evidence to the contrary) is not an acceptable solution
- A single state of all Jews and Palestinians that starts off democratic will immediately become the 50th majority-Muslim country in the world, and Jews would quickly become second-class citizens if they aren't simply killed or hounded out (as the were from nearly all Muslim countries), making this a total non-starter for any self-respecting Israeli
We arrive at the inescapable conclusion that the only long-term solution is to have two independent states, Israel and Palesitine, living peacefully side by side.
The only problem is that getting from where we are today, when the majority of non-Israeli Palestinians are adamantly opposed to the Jews having a state in the Middle East and are willing, if not eager, to kill or drive off any and all Jews from Israel, to a peaceful coexistence requires two huge changes:
- On the Palestinian side, replacing the murderous Jihadi terrorist 'government' of Gaza with a moderate Sunni-led multinational force that would govern while replacing all textbooks and other indoctrinations currently causing them to virulently hate every Israeli and every Jew with a moderate peaceful message. Then, after enough time has passed that they've let go of their insane bloodthirst, they can self-govern.
- On the Israeli side, Netanyahu and his coalition that's mostly messianic nutcases have to be thrown into the dustbin of history (or better yet, prison for corruption and a host of other crimes), replacing them with a centrist government that's willing and able to rein in the Jewish terrorists in the West Bank, imprisoning those who attack innocent Palestinians there.
Simple, but anything but easy, at least on a scale of years-to-decades.
