As I often say, personal finance is just that - personal. What's right for me may be wrong for you and vice versa. The important thing about making this decision is to look at the facts and figures, and then consider your own circumstances and priorities. If you have little or no confidence in the system, starting earlier will give you some peace of mind, which is worth a good deal. That's not my priority, but I understand that it may be yours.
