Ben, I can understand your frustration and how you came to your conclusion. However, I would argue that neither extreme will come true. Not everyone you meet will present their best self, nor will they all present their worst. In fact, even the same person will present their better self and their worse self at different times. The truth, as it often does, lies somewhere in the middle.
