Daryl, I have even less use than you for the current Israeli government. They were so busy screwing up the country's separation of powers to let Netanyahu stay out of jail and in power that they took everyone's eye off the ball.

I have a hard time buying the conspiracy theory including the Mossad and the GSS. However, I can easily buy total incompetence in the Israeli government and them getting in the way of proper alert levels.

Anyhow, at some point the music will stop, and hopefully the current government will not pass Go, will not collect $200, and will go straight to jail, where many of them belong.

In Gaza, meanwhile, I hope the IDF is given the space to eradicate Hamas and PIJ. That will benefit the poor civilians who've been held hostage by them for so many years.

Maybe then there can be an opening, with a new and more worthy Israeli government in place, for some baby steps towards peace and prosperity for everyone who's suffered so much in that part of the world.
