I'm glad you found (at least most of) the corrections helpful.

For whatever it's worth, I often find instances of awkward phrasing or grammatical errors when I edit for native speakers, even ones with graduate degrees! So you're in good company.

Plus, I'm positive that if a professional editor would review my own writing, she'd find a few things to correct too... 🙂
