I especially like #7. I help facilitate an annual meeting of 15-20 participants. This meeting would likely take three days, except that by having a pre-meeting with 4-5 people to draft proposed decisions, we jumpstart the meeting by sharing our proposals, explaining the rationale for each, and inviting people to comment, debate, or suggest alternatives.

About 90% of the proposals and up being accepted with little debate. The remaining 10% often generate lively debate, and always get us to consensus decisions.

This process cuts those meetings from several days to 4-6 hours.
