I read in the NYT today an opinion piece about a developing "Biden doctrine" that may come out in the near future. It's supposed to punish Iran for the proxy attacks, develop a path to a demilitarized Palestinian state alongside Israel, run by a refurbished PA, and push the Saudis and other Arab countries to formalize peace with Israel.

If anything can work in the short and intermediate term, this sounds like the best shot.
