I remember, years ago (LOL), hearing somewhere that our musical tastes get frozen when we have our first intimate relationship.

From personal experience, that's not 100% accurate, as my kids helped expand my musical appreciation by introducing me to singers I really enjoy listening to who started out in the oughts.

Next step is waiting for my granddaughter to grow up (she's 1 now) so she can introduce me to singers who'll be all the rage in the 2030s and 40s.

Still, I confess that I can identify many more songs from the 70s and 80s than from later decades.
