I second your suggestion of reading The Millionaire Next Door. However, if I recall correctly, they defined UAW as having less than 50% of the target net worth for their age, and PAW as having 200% of the target.

As an aside, I found some of their analyses hilarious. For example, the one where they looked at the cost of people's cars per pound vehicle weight!
