That's why they're using asymmetric warfare, including such was crimes as fighting from inside "protected" zones and facilities, attacking unarmed civilians, etc.

Insurgencies, especially by people who delight in dying if it means inflicting casualties on their enemy, are notoriously difficult to defeat. Winning requires gaining the support of (at least a sizable minority of) the populace, which would be incredibly difficult in Gaza.
