I'm not an expert in archeo-genetics, but from what I recall learning, most of today's Palestinians are descended from Arabs who moved to the area from other Arab regions in pursuit of higher wages paid by Jews who came there from Europe in the late 1800s with capital that was sorely lacking there.

As for the Philistine and Canaanites, I don't believe they have many modern-day descendants in the area.

Regardless, as I said repeatedly, pursuing rights based on historic claims is a great way to avoid peace.
