In my (admittedly not very informed) opinion, the biggest challenge with crypto is that it has zero intrinsic value.

This as opposed to stocks, that provide an ownership stake in a productive asset, namely a (hopefully profitable or soon to become so) business.

That’s why I see crypto in the same way as playing the Forex — speculation, pure and simple, aka gambling.
