Israel has proven offshore natural gas deposits. However, Israel's main source of income is its thriving high-tech industry (see, e.g., https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/an-overview-of-israels-economy or read Statrtup Nation https://www.amazon.com/Start-up-Nation-Israels-Economic-Miracle/dp/0446541478).
The Palestinians don't have natural resources (though if there ever comes a peace deal, that may change).
Their bigger problem is that they "invest" in hatred rather than in anything productive to solve problems that will make the world a better place. Their school books a re full of examples where they teach their kids to hate Israel and the Jews, even in math textbooks!
Again, if we ever reach a peace deal, and the Palestinians are serious about it, I'm sure they can become every bit as successful as Israel, since there is nothing innately inferior about them - they are human just like you and me.
And, at that point, Israel would be motivated to help them build a vibrant economy.
