Israel was attacked because Netanyahu is corrupt and incompetent, and needed the extreme right to create a governing coalition. Then, he needed to destroy the independence of the judiciary. That led to widespread protests lasting months, breaking the national feeling of unity to the point that the willingness of the reserve military to serve waivered. That in turn told Hamas the IDF was too distracted so they attacked. That is what happened, in a nutshell.

As for what you say about Muslims happy with Western values no longer being "real" Muslims makes your premise a tautology. If any Muslim who's chill with the West isn't a real Muslim, then by definition the remaining Muslims, or per your position, all real Muslims are anti West.

That would be true even if your real Muslims numbered two. But of course there's many more than two or even two million extreme Muslims.
