It seems I'm completely oblivious and clueless about Medium happenings - I didn't even know about this "purge of 2024."

To the extent that they remove spammers and bot accounts, I'm all for it. To the extent that they threw out a bunch of metaphorical babies with the bathwater, I find it upsetting and concerning.
