I've written multiple times about active mutual funds being the better option for those willing to educate themselves on finding superior managers. I've even shown examples of funds that have beaten the market (and thus index funds) for decades. Still, too many people just follow the herd. On the flip side, just wanted to point out that 10% instead of 9.5% over 20 years is a 10% difference.
