Kudos on charting your own path, and I completely agree with you (as I describe here) on not seeing FIRE as a path to the traditional notion of retirement, but rather to having the option to do whatever you choose, because you want to, rather than because you have to.
I will say that one great benefit of starting on the FIRE path early (aside from having more time to create the needed financial resources) is that typically you don’t have as many financial commitments that would lead to wanting a $200k or more per year FIRE income, rather than the <$100k you mention.
