My only complaint is that it should be FOBMO! :)

Seriously though, this sort of fear of new developments is quite rational.

Just because over time new technology has increased the number of jobs doesn't mean that buggy whip makers enjoyed the advent of the horseless carriage (a.k.a. the automobile), nor have auto assembly workers readily find replacement jobs when robotic assembly line became a thing.

And frankly, our government does not have a great track record of helping people who get occupationally displaced reskill and redeploy.
