No, Ramsey isn't right (about this as about so much else).

I wrote several data-based articles here on Medium about the least expensive way to buy cars.

TLDR: buy new and drive for at least 10 years. If you're a cat DIYer, you can extend that to 15+ years. The other important thing is to buy reliable cars. My favorites (unsurprisingly) are Toyota and Honda.
