Sorry, but you lost me in your second paragraph. The title seemed so promising, then you say you'll get to the promised $80k in 40 years, *if* you get an annual return of 11.5%, which is higher by about a quarter than the long-term average return of the stock market, and that's before accounting for inflation. After that, the rest doesn't matter.
