It’s very important to recognize when you’ve hit the point where you’re no longer willing to trade more of your limited time for more money.
Getting a raise would presumably mean making more for the same work time. Getting a promotion should imply that you’d be doing higher value work and making more for that work. Thus, I would hope for you that you get both raises and promotions :).
Beyond that, if and when you choose to start your own thing, you’d hopefully be doing higher value work, both in terms of the difference you make in the world (your impact) and in terms of your personal fulfillment and income.
Doing that might require investing more of your time than you do now at least in the short and medium term, but much less of your time in the longer term. That’s a trade that you’d need to consider, to decide if it’s worth it for you.
