Then there's the dilemma - do I provide detailed numbers (with or without proof) and breach my privacy, or do I make relative statements that leave out the concrete numbers?

That latter leaves people wondering whether 10x means $100 instead of $10 or $100,000 instead of $10,000.

However, the former can be downright dangerous in this crazy day and age. On one occasion, after I made a broad statement (that nonetheless gave a range where the low end was still high) led to an unhinged guy trying to extort us over some made-up BS.

When we filed a police complaint, he ended up killing himself... ***shudder***
