This reminds me of a study conducted by Fidelity to see which group of their investors fared best over the years. The surprising answer was - those who had forgotten they had a Fidelity account! They simply didn't make any transactions. Not listening to the talking heads is as close as you can get to recreating that if you can't forget you have investments.
