Well, two thoughts on that. First, if you're making over a million dollars a year from affiliate marketing (or anything else for that matter), I doubt it's a*side* hustle. It's most likely your main business. Second, if you're making that much money, why are you wasting your time writing on Medium, where your income would likely be below minimum wage for the time you put in, or at best a small fraction of what you make elsewhere. So, bottom line, I still don't believe this claim.

Here's what 2 minutes of Google "research" shows.

- Over 57% make <$10k/y and fewer than 4% make >$150k/y (https://influencermarketinghub.com/how-much-money-do-affiliates-make/). Based on the latter, I'd be shocked if more than 0.5% make >$1M/y.
