When a terrorist-led group with a history of violent action takes over a failed state on your border, capturing an army's worth of strategic weapons and chemical weapons, destroying said weapons is understandable.

When you invade a (non-failed) soverign neighboring country does nothing to attack you or to suggest it would attack you, and target civilian sites with zero military or strategic significance for years, that's a whole 'nother ballgame.

If you can't understand that difference, you're either stupid or willfully oblivious.
