While it's clear (or should be clear) that a stock split (or a negative split) have zero impact on the value of the stock (i.e., one share at $1200 is exactly the same as 10 shares it was split into at $120 each), isn't it a plausible short-term play to buy shares you expect to split soon (or ones that have just split), and sell shortly after the split once the less-knowledgeable pump the price up?
