With the greatest respect in return, my father and mother were both European Jews who came to Palestine in the 1930s. My father joined the Palmach in 1942 until 1948. He participated in several armed operations, none were against unarmed civilians. He was the most principled, wisest man I've ever known and would not have stood for such behavior as you describe.
